The Department of Theatre is designed for the young actor who is pursuing a career on stage, film or television with an emphasis on both technique and practical application. Under the guidance of a faculty comprised of professional actors and directors, students are immersed in a wide range of theatre instruction including Improvisation, Commedia, Scene Study, Character Analysis, Voice and Diction, Classical Theatre, Stage Combat, Stanislavsky/Meisner, and Acting on Camera.

Theatre students produce their own dramatic productions and are eligible to participate in productions with the Department of Musical Theatre throughout the season. Concurrent with the Theatre curriculum, workshops and master classes are offered which focus on career development and entertainment as a business, led by some of the top managers agents and casting directors in the media industries.
